The Prospect Park Zoo spans twelve acres on the eastern side of Prospect Park. The Zoo houses more than 125 species of animals from across the world and features a number of permanent exhibitions, including a barn where you can feed goats, sheep, cows, and llamas, which aims to bring knowledge of farm-life to the city; a discovery trail where wallabies, capybaras, and prairie dogs roam; and the central Sea Lion Court, where you can see the sea lions trained and fed by expert zookeepers. The Zoo aspires to make every exhibit a learning experience for individuals of all age ranges and levels of animal expertise. In line with this mission, the Zoo offers summer camps, an opportunity to have breakfast with the baboons, and one-on-one tours for scouts.
